1/72 scale bunker for PaK 40 - 75mm Anti-Tank Gun (German)

On March 23, 1942 Führer Directive Number 40 called for the official creation of the Atlantic Wall. Organisation Todt, which had designed the Siegfried Line (Westwall) along the Franco-German border, was the chief engineering group responsible for the design and construction of the wall's major fortifications. Thousands of forced laborers were impressed to construct these permanent fortifications along the Dutch, Belgian and French coasts facing the English Channel. Early in 1944, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel was assigned to improve the defenses of the Wall. Rommel believed the existing coastal fortifications were entirely inadequate, and he immediately began strengthening them. Under his direction, a string of reinforced concrete pillboxes were built along the beaches, or sometimes slightly inland, to house machine guns and antitank guns, like our model here.
Based on accurate historical evidence this model has plenty of beautifully sculpted surface detail to help you in painting, including damage from enemy small arms fire.
Like all other models in this range it is made of tough POLYURETHANE; the roof is a separate piece which can be left loose to be removed and allow access to the interior, or glued in place; the door, blastproof flooring and side walls are also separate. Overall size is 140x110mm and the height is approximately 60mm. Internal size is 90x60mm and the internal height is 35mm.
Requires basic assembly. Supplied unpainted.
