This page is for all those things that do no fit in our regular catalogue for one reason or another. Here you'll find the last few pieces of models that went out of production for example, or special limited production or pre-production of items that never actually made it to the catalogue. You may also find small bits and parts that we do sometimes produce in limited quantities only for our own use, for example modular parts made for building a model, or custom modifications to stock models. Last but by no means least, here you'll find assembled and painted models we don't normally stock, but that we may have on hand at the moment. For anything in this page anyway, what you see is what you get, so if it happens we have two painted tents of the same model in here, they'll be listed separately, each with the actual item picture. Because of this please read the description of the item carefully, and please don't click the "add to cart" button more than once unless it is specifically indicated that more than one identical item is available. Also, since you may order an unique piece after someone else has already bought it, but before we had the chance to update the page, we have to reserve the right to refuse your purchase on any item on this page. If you have already paid for it we will give you the choice of an immediate and complete refund or of custom making another one specifically for you when this is possible. Be aware that this may take quite a few weeks though!

Ottoman Jannissary archers as they may have appeared in late 14th - early 15th Century, and are designed especially to be used as reg Bw(S) in DBM list 55 book IV, Ottoman 1281AD - 1512AD.

This is a wheels conversion kit for Atlantic/Nexus 1/72 plastic Egyptian Chariots.
Anyone who is familiar with this set knows the main issue with these models are the wheels, not only they're way too chubby, they're also way undersized.
In the top picture here you can see the plastic chariot assembled as it comes out of the box, with the original tiny fat wheels... :)
The black and white picture below shows a real Egyptian chariot recovered from the tomb of Amenophis III for comparison. As you can see the cab here is open, unlike the one in the model, but the overall shape and size is quite accurate. One can assume that in battle the wooden frame would have been covered with a leather screen for extra protection...
Under it you can see the converted chariots with the new metal wheels on.
The bottom picture shows an example of the complete chariot converted with our kit, painted and based.
As you can see here I've also attached the axle to the back of the chariot, where it should be, and not in the middle of the cab where the locating pins are. You can do this simply by removing the pins provided at the bottom of the cab and gluing it in the right position. In any case the wheels will work just fine even if you want to leave the axle where it is.

This kit is also available in resin. It's lighter, strong, flexible and cheaper, but it will require careful cleaning... the thin resin flash is removed easily with a sharp blade or simply by scraping it away, but you'll have to do that yourself!

Reeds are the most typical vegetation in wetland sites throughout cold, temperate and tropical regions of the world. In nature it is often found along rivers or around lakes, marsh, pond, swamps, fens, etc. It commonly forms extensive stands, up to a square kilometre or more (known as reedbeds); where conditions are suitable, it can grow to over 6 m tall. It is of special interest on the wargaming tables as it can effectively conceal anything within or behind, one could easily hide an army in a reedbed. These models can be used on their own, or based together with some other scenic product that models tall grass, field grass and reeds. In this way you can represent common reeds, bulrush, cattail as well as maize or other cereal crops, etc. Our favourite use is for marking river and lake edges that block the line of sight!
The pack contains approximately 15 grams of a random selection mix of several different styles, more or less what you see in the color picture.

The roundhouse is the most typical of Celtic buildings, and was very common in the ancient Celtic world, that is to say roughly all of what is now modern Europe.
This model is based on the most recent archaeological evidence and it is a very accurate and highly detailed reproduction, including removable thatch roof and interior. The interior is left as open as possible to accommodate figures or other models for scenario games, yet include much detail. The model is about 14 cm (5 and half inches) wide. Since roundhouses were made of many different sizes, but all identical in their structure, it is also perfectly suitable for larger scale games, as a slightly smaller building.
In 25mm and 1/72 scale it is a large example, at over 8 meters of diameter. The roof is about 10 meters across.
Using 28mm "heroic scale" figures is about 6 meters in diameter with the roof just over 8 meters across.

The importance of scenic and terrain elements is too often underestimated, but we believe they are essential to the full enjoyment of the wargaming experience. The best method we have found to represent different terrain types on the table, like brushy and rocky ground, woods, swamps, etc. is to use a combination of terrain mats and scenic markers of the appropriate type. The terrain mat delimits the exact area, it is easy to store and position and stays firmly put on the table. The scenic markers clearly indicate the type of area represented, can be conveniently set aside to let figures move through, and most importantly looks good!
In this section for the moment you'll find only a few terrain markers, but we hope to continued to add to this range to cover for all the most typical vegetation and natural formations of dry, cold, temperate and tropical regions of the world. We will soon also add a range of suitable beautifully handpainted terrain mats!
All the scenic markers are completely hand assembled and finished, based and painted to the very high standard you can see here. Plants are 1 to 3 inch tall and are mounted on 30mm round steel washers, 3.5mm thick, which add stabilty with their considerable weight and makes for a very solid base indeed!
