Primarly DS is an on-line source of illustrations, organized in archives:

You can move around the site and acces these archives using the UPPER ROW of buttons in the navigator you'll find at the bottom of any page.
In each archive you will find previews of the pictures and next to our reference code number, the title, author, format and size of the file (approssimative) in bytes.
Please always use this reference code number when you contact us referring to a picture.
Note that the files size will vary slightly according to the partition size of your HD, and will be generally smaller on PCs.
Note also that the title did not refer necessarly to the one that appear in the first publication for which the illustration has been originally realized.

Click on the button to download a text-only zipped index, including the reference code number, title, author, format and size of the pictures, and the size, year, technique and price of the original painting for the archive.

Click on the preview to see the picture on-line in real size.

Use the "Back" function of your browser to go back to the archive.

If you want you can copy the picture on-line:

with Netscape Navigators version 2.0 or later (click and hold on it, when the pop-up menu will appear, just choose "save as..." and save it to your disk).
on Mac (command-shift-3 will save the current desktop image as "picture-1" on your disk)
most PC browser has a built-in support for image downloads, usually on a menu brought up by placing your mouse cursor on the image and then holding down the right hand button on the mouse.
on other shells I don't know but I'm sure there is a way and I will write it down here as soon as somebody will tell me!

FREE DREAMS ARCHIVES

These archives contains lots of pictures that may be downloaded immediately and edited in any way for software use.
These pictures are relatively small files wich should be manageable by most machines, however remember to take a look at the size of the file beside the preview!
If you can't manage these sizes take a look at WEB DREAMS ARCHIVES where you'll find small files ready to copy and paste in your own page.

COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT

This is a legal agreement (the "Agreement") between everyone who copy or reproduce in any way material from DREAMS STUDIO archives (You) and the author of the pictures ("the Artist"), with respect to DREAMS STUDIO images (the Pictures). By copying the Pictures, you thereby accept and agree to the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to copy or reproduce in any way the Pictures.

You acknowledge and agree that All DREAMS STUDIO Pictures are copyrighted material, copyright © 1996 Claudio Berni unless otherwise specified. All rights reserved, worldwide.

DREAMS STUDIO Pictures are NOT public domain.

DREAMS STUDIO or the Artist owns the copyright and all others rights to the Pictures. Any design rights arising belong to the Artist.
The Artist assert his right to be identified as the creator of the Pictures and any part of it.
DREAMS STUDIO hereby grants You a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Pictures contained in the archives for the purpose only of producing software on the terms and subject to the conditions set out in this Agreement.
The licence created is non-exclusive and nothing will prevent DREAMS STUDIO or the Artist from licensing others to use the Pictures. This Agreement does not convey to You an interest in or to the Pictures, but only a limited right of use in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DISTRIBUTE IN ANY WAY THE PICTURES.

The licence granted is personal and You may not assign or transfer to any other person, firm or company any of its rights without our prior written consent. You agree that you will not assign, sublicense, transfer, pledge, lease, distribute, loan, rent, or share your rights to use the Pictures. You agree that you may use the Pictures solely in your own software, and will not distribute in any way the original files, including any copy or any change, alterations or modifications which create derivative works.

YOU CAN'T SELL THE PICTURES OR ASK MONEY FOR THEM IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

All copies of the Pictures including any copy or any change, alterations or modifications, must bear the copyright notice, and You are requested to keep on the Pictures also the DREAMS STUDIO www address (URL). You may put the DREAMS STUDIO URL separately, as long as You keep it with the Pictures.

If you use our Pictures in a world wide web site you are also requested to notify DREAMS STUDIO the URL of the page where the Pictures will appear and put an active link to our homepage like this:

Permission to use Pictures is denied for any use which competes, in any way, with the business of DREAMS STUDIO. Any such user shall bear full liablility under international copyright laws.
If You wish to use any of our Pictures for commercial purposes, You are requested to contact us first, as copyright restrictions may apply.

You must also submit for the Artist's approval before publish any sales, promotional or display material which contains reproductions of the Pictures; the Artist will not withold such consent unreasonably.

DREAMS STUDIO decline any resposability if You infrange any publisher's copyright ownership.

To use the Pictures you must copy the files to your disk, the use of an absolute reference to our archives is expressely forbidden.
DREAMS STUDIO warrants that it has the right to grant the licences contained in this document.
You are requested to notify DREAMS STUDIO promptly of any infrangement of the Artist's copyright which may come to your notice.
No permission, waiver or condoning by the Artist of any use, abuse, breach or failure shall be taken to be or to imply a permission or waiver of any future use, abuse or failure of the same term or any other term.
Our original files are absolutely safe, but due to the complexity of the laws and regulations of Earth's political entities and the nature of internet itself, DREAMS STUDIO must disclaim any and all responsibility for any loss of time or profict, any costs, litigation, and other damages you may incur from their use. No liability is accepted for any loss of data, email, damage to hardware or any consequent loss due to DREAMS STUDIO files. You copy and use them at your own risk.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the Pictures, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding the subject matter. No amendment to or modification of this Agreement will be binding unless in writing signed by a duly authorized representative of the Artist.

Most of the picture can still be published in many countries: generally the author own the original and can supply any size of transparencies.

Original paintings may also be purchased from the author if still available.

You can also send us your own work if you wish it to appear in FREE DREAMS ARCHIVES, but we cannot guarantee it will be published.
You must include a written warrant of the author (for each picture submitted) which grant DREAMS STUDIO the licence to publish it in the FREE DREAMS ARCHIVES subject only to the restrictions contained in this Agreement.
If it will be published however the author will retain the copyright.

WEB DREAMS ARCHIVES

These archives contains some small pictures: interlaced and in case transparent background GIF or JPEG files that may also be copied immediately and pasted directly in your page. The size of these files is generally small to load quickly, however remember to take a look at it beside the preview! At the moment the WEB ARCHIVES include:
